Job Responsibilities
As a Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Neonatology), your primary responsibilities will include:
- Teaching & Training: Conducting both theoretical and practical training for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Research & Development: Guiding and overseeing research work in the specialty of neonatology.
- Clinical Care: Providing specialist patient care in neonatology.
- Administrative & Other Duties: Performing any additional tasks assigned by authorities in the Department of Health & Family Welfare.
Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
- General (UR)/EWS: Up to 40 years
- OBC: Up to 43 years
- SC/ST: Up to 45 years
- Maximum age limit for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 50 years.
Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institute.
- Postgraduate degree in the concerned specialty or super-specialty as mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI:
- Doctorate of Medicine (Neonatology); or
- Diplomate of National Board (Neonatology); or
- Doctor of Medicine (Pediatrics) with two years’ special training in Neonatology; or
- Diplomate of National Board (Pediatrics) with two years’ special training in Neonatology.
Experience Requirement
Applicants must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience as a:
- Senior Resident
- Tutor
- Demonstrator
- Registrar
- Assistant Professor
- Lecturer
The experience must be in the concerned specialty or super-specialty and obtained from a recognized teaching institution after acquiring the first postgraduate degree.
