Job Responsibilities

As a Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Neonatology), your primary responsibilities will include:

• Teaching & Training: Conducting both theoretical and practical training for undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.

• Clinical Care: Providing specialist patient care in neonatology.

• General (UR)/EWS: Up to 40 years
• OBC: Up to 43 years
• SC/ST: Up to 45 years
• Maximum age limit for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 50 years.

Educational Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

• MBBS degree from a recognized medical institute.
• Postgraduate degree in the concerned specialty or super-specialty as mentioned in Section A of Schedule VI:
  • Doctorate of Medicine (Neonatology); or
  • Diplomate of National Board (Neonatology); or
  • Doctor of Medicine (Pediatrics) with two years’ special training in Neonatology; or
  • Diplomate of National Board (Pediatrics) with two years’ special training in Neonatology.

Experience Requirement

Applicants must have a minimum of three years of teaching experience as a:

• Senior Resident
• Tutor
• Demonstrator
• Registrar
• Assistant Professor
• Lecturer

The experience must be in the concerned specialty or super-specialty and obtained from a recognized teaching institution after acquiring the first postgraduate degree.
