Job Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Teaching Responsibilities: Provide both theoretical and practical instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
- Research & Development: Conduct and guide research work in the specialty of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery.
- Patient Care: Deliver medical care in the field of cardio vascular and thoracic surgery.
- Administrative Duties: Carry out additional responsibilities assigned by the relevant authorities.
Eligibility Criteria

- 40 years for Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
- 50 years for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) candidates.
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must hold the following qualifications:
- MBBS Degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Postgraduate Degree in the relevant specialty or super-specialty as per Section A of Schedule VI from a recognized teaching institute. The accepted qualifications include:
- Magister Chirurguie (M.Ch.) in Cardio Vascular and Thoracic Surgery
- M.Ch. in Thoracic Surgery
- M.Ch. in Cardiac Surgery
- M.Ch. in Vascular Surgery
- Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in any of the above disciplines
Experience Requirement
- A minimum of three years’ teaching experience as Senior Resident, Tutor, Demonstrator, Registrar, Assistant Professor, or Lecturer in the concerned specialty in a recognized medical teaching institution after obtaining the first postgraduate degree.
